Pellicaan Advocaten

Pellicaan Advocaten is a young law firm with a long history. In 2000, it became an independent law firm, which now has 4 branches in the Netherlands and employs a total of 27 lawyers and legal experts. Before then, it was part of Mazars, and now Pellicaan forms a strategic alliance with us.

Their vision

Prevention is better than cure. Legal conflicts can be reduced to a minimum by constantly guarding the relationship and the communication with the interested parties, from a legal point of view, and keeping these open.

Their mission

Helping entrepreneurs to perform well by continuously supporting them in a solution-oriented and proactive manner, in the field of corporate and labour law.

Their ambition

Becoming the regular lawyer in the corporate and labour law field for SMEs and non-profit organisations in the Netherlands.

Labour law/Pension law

Labour/Pension law is a complex matter, but it is also the type of law that you, as an employer, are confronted with most often. There is always a threat of conflicts with employees and changes within the organisation often have great consequences for your staff. In this context, Pellicaan Advocaten can help you with the following:

  • Assisting in labour disputes and taking legal procedures to court
  • Advising on all forms of (flexible) labour and temporary contracts
  • Advising on the implementation of a new salary system or a new position, right of co-determination, (legal aspects of) social insurance law, the Dutch Work and Income [Ability to Work] Act (Wet Werk en Inkomen naar Arbeidsvermogen – WIA).
  • Advising on the personal consequences of a reorganisation or business discontinuation.
  • Advising on the legal aspects of pensions, including pension regulations, due diligence investigations into the legal aspects of mergers and the consequences on pensions upon the incorporation or liquidation of a company.

Corporate law

An entrepreneur wants to grow and improve his contacts with suppliers, customers, banks, lessors/lessees, and take-over and merger candidates on a daily basis. But there are risks involved in the expansion and maintenance of these contacts. These risks are often overlooked, or underestimated by the entrepreneurs in question. Pellicaan Advocaten can remove these risks by:

  • Assisting in the merger or take-over process of a company
  • Performing due-diligence investigations within the framework of mergers, take-overs, demergers
  • Corporate law advice in the incorporation or liquidation of a company
  • Assessing and, if necessary, restricting the risks arising from your contacts as an entrepreneur
  • Drawing up various agreements such as franchise agreements, loan agreements, and agency and distribution agreements
  • Advising on and assisting in the conclusion of lease contracts
  • Collecting monetary claims
  • Taking legal matters to court
