IFRS presents challenges, but can also provide opportunities in an international context. We will update you on the most recent developments during the 'IFRS Update’ workshop on 30 October.

COSTS AND PE - PERMANENT EDUCATION

The cost of participation is €195 ex VAT per person. This includes a 4 hour PE certificate and training materials.

SPEAKERS

The workshop will be provided by Steven Brice and Josephine Tyrell.

Steven is the partner in charge of Mazars UK’s Financial Reporting Advisory team and is highly experienced in UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS. He has provided technical accounting support to many clients over the last 20 years. Steven also regularly works alongside the Forensic and Investigation Services team at Mazars and has previous experience of appearing as an expert witness.  Steven is a member of the UK GAAP Technical Advisory Group (TAG) having been appointed by the FRC and is also a member of an IFRS working group for EFRAG. He is a past Chairman of the Technical Committee of the London Society of Chartered Accountants (LSCA). Steven is also a member of the ICAEW Valuation Special Interest Group and regularly undertakes intangible asset valuation work in accordance with IFRS 3 requirements.

Josephine is a Senior Manager in the Mazars Financial Reporting Advisory team responsible for internal technical accounting training. On qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with BDO Binder Hamlyn she transferred to BDO in Hong Kong as an auditor working on international clients. On her return to the UK Josephine worked as a senior audit manager at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte LLP. Prior to joining Mazars Josephine was a tutor at BPP Professional Education where she developed and presented financial reporting training in IFRS and UK GAAP.

Conditions for commercial workshops

All prices are exclusive of VAT. Subject to price and product changes. Mazars reserves the right to cancel the workshop in case of insufficient participation. Up to two weeks prior to the workshop you may cancel your participation free of charge; afterwards, we will charge 50% of the participation fee up to one week before the workshop date. If you cancel your participation within one week prior to the workshop date, we will charge the full participation fee.
