Since the introduction of the Child Care Act in 2005, child care organisations are seen more and more as commercial organisations. Child care has become a market with internal competition. Within this context, it is fitting that organisations be professionalised. The demand for child care is determined to a large extent by the developments on the job market and the measures which are taken with respect to the child care allowance.
Subsidised and unsubsidised work with toddlers is often also included in this sector. Such work has undergone its own development, prompted in part by the qualitative measures taken by the government. The Development Opportunities through Quality and Education Act (OKE), which comes into effect on 1 August 2010, is evidence of this.
Specialist knowledge of the sector is essential for providing optimal service to clients within the sector. This is why Mazars has pooled the practical knowledge of various disciplines (by employing accountants, tax advisers and legal experts) in the Child Care sector group. Our professionals have broad experience in the sector and are constantly updating their knowledge relating to it. Requested or unrequested, we inform and advise our clients regarding current developments in the sectors.
