"Rules don't rule"
When principles no longer suffice, rules are required. This is unavoidable. But if we allow rules to be our only guide, we will never rise above the average. We deny ourselves the oxygen known as freedom and suffocate the development of people, companies and our society.
Rules may never be an excuse to stop thinking for yourself.
At Mazars, we feel that accountants should not hide behind rules, that creating is as important as auditing and that inventiveness is the most important trade of an accountant. Being an entrepreneur means taking risks. Our clients expect us to point out risks and, where possible, create the possibility to take them in a sensible manner.
