24 april 2019 - Recent is de ‘Implementatiewet registratie uiteindelijk belanghebbenden van vennootschappen en juridische entiteiten’ ingediend bij de Tweede Kamer. Met deze wet wordt de verplichting tot het bijhouden en centraal registreren van informatie over de uiteindelijke belanghebbende (‘ultimate beneficial owner’ – ubo) van in Nederland opgerichte vennootschappen en andere juridische entiteiten ingevoerd. Het ubo-register is een Europese maatregel en heeft tot doel het witwassen van geld en financiering van terrorisme te bestrijden.
Postponement excessive borrowing with own company
28 April 2020 - Following the recent tax measures, the commencement date of the Bill on Excessive Borrowing with Own Company is postponed for one year until, i.e. 1 January 2023.
Loss relief in corporate income tax
June 18, 2021 - As of January 1, 2022, the new loss relief rules in corporate income tax will take effect. This has been announced by the State Secretary of Finance. The change means that as of 2022, losses can be offset unlimited in time, but the amount of losses within a financial year will be limited. The scheme should prevent profitable multinationals in the Netherlands from pay-ing no corporation tax for years in a row.
Concern among family businesses
26 April 2021 - Since the parliamentary elections earlier this year, family businesses have been fearful of a possible scaling down or abolition of business succession facilities.Some parties want to soften or even abolish the business succession scheme, which is based on a conditional exemption from inheritance and gift tax when business assets are transferred.
