European Court of Justice stripes the Cyprus Route

29 September 2020 - In an earlier article we informed you about the conflict between the Social Insurance Bank and a company based in Cyprus about the insurance obligation of Dutch truck drivers. The European Court of Justice has recently ruled on this case. According to the Court, the Dutch transport companies qualify as an employer and not the company in Cyprus. The result is that drivers in the Netherlands still have social insurance and Dutch premiums have to be paid.
