New Objections NOW
June 10, 2021 - The Minister of Social Affairs has stated that in more cases objections can be made against a lower NOW than was previously possible. The NOW is applied based on expectations and the advance payment is also based on this. Important variables for the subsidy amount include the reference wage bill and the percentage loss of turnover.

The advance NOW and the final settlement
8 June 2021 - Entrepreneurs have already been able to take advantage of four NOW periods and the application period for the fifth period (for payroll of the second quarter of 2021) started as of May 17. Meanwhile, a further extension of the support measure has also been announced and there will also be a NOW grant (NOW 4) that looks at the third quarter of 2021. After submitting the application, the UWV pays out an advance fairly quickly. At a later stage the final amount of the NOW subsidy is granted and it may then turn out that part of the advance has to be repaid or even that there is no entitlement to NOW at all and everything has to be repaid.
