Education and work experience
Work experience
Possess 30+ years of experience working for a diverse number of clients in different industries. Gained deep knowledge and experience on the application of IFRS and Dutch GAAP. Since 2021 he is the representative of the NBA at meetings of the Dutch Accounting Standards Board (Raad voor de Jaarverslaggeving). Between 2013 and 2020 he was a member of the Dutch Accounting Standards Board. Before becoming an expert in financial reporting, he worked as an auditor. Dingeman also speaks nationally on IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
Education
Dingeman received his Master Business Administration and his Post Master Accountancy from the Free University of Amsterdam. He is registered as a certified accountant in the Netherlands (‘Registeraccountant’).
Expertise
Expert in financial reporting (IFRS and Dutch GAAP). Dingeman helps clients and audit teams to solve the most complex accounting issues (e.g. business acquisitions and mergers, restructurings under common control, share-based payments, employee benefits, financial instruments, conversions from Dutch GAAP to IFRSs, implementation of new accounting standards like IFRS 15 on revenue recognition and IFRS 16 on leases).
Specific client experience
As financial reporting expert Dingeman has served many clients on the application of IFRS and Dutch GAAP. He has also delivered many client inhouse courses and trainings on financial reporting.
Additional positions
Since 2021 Dingeman is the representative of the NBA at meetings of the Dutch Accounting Standards Board (Raad voor de Jaarverslaggeving). He is also a member of several working groups of the Dutch Accounting Standards Board. In these roles he is actively engaged in the development of financial reporting in the Netherlands. He also teaches financial reporting (IFRS and Dutch GAAP) in the Post Master Accountancy program at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
