Maurice Quaedvlieg Partner | Sector leader charitable organizations
Personal quote / vision
As a public accountant, I work among others for international NGOs, fundraising institutions, organisations in the cultural sector, governments and research institutions. A binding element of these organisations is public funding and the necessity to be accountable for the appropriation thereof in a transparent manner. Many of these organisations are in a transformation process in order to safeguard their continuity by identifying and implementing new revenue models. A focus on the core objectives, identification of corresponding new donors, reorientation on the necessary personal skills, renewal of external communication, new ways of rolling out services and the cooperation with strategic partners are all subjects that are high on the agenda for discussion with Supervisory Boards and directors. This also goes for the reputation and integrity and related issues such as fraud, corruption and cybersecurity.

Expertise and customer experience
Audit and assurance services to not-for-profit organisations, in particular international NGOs, fundraising institutions, organisations in the cultural sector, governments and research institutions.
Subsidy audit and assurance service to profit and not-for-profit organisations. In addition to carrying out subsidy audits and agreed specific activities (ISAE 4400), this also includes interim checks of the project administration of subsidy conditions so there will be clarity at an early stage about compliance with the regulations requirements and adjustments can be made in time if necessary.
Next to my activities as an accountant, I am a Board Member of Mazars Foundation Netherlands and the Netherlands Red Cross (Haaglanden District and Dorgelo Energie Rampenfonds). I am also a member of the Supervisory Board of Young Africa International. These positions allow me to give effect to my passion to contribute to the development of people, organisations and society with my skills and experience, both in my position as an accountant and in the roles of Executive and Supervisory Board Member. This seamlessly matches Mazars’ vision to convey society to the next generation in a responsible manner.
Stichting Mini-Ondernemingen awarded me the title ‘Accountant of the Year 2000 / 2001’.
