The role of the AA accountant has undergone major changes in recent years. And between the current regulatory burden, but also the realization that, of course, the customer is central, but that interest plays a role more than ever in the relationship between accountant and his customer. By using automation, instead of looking back, the accountant is increasingly looking forward strategically with the client and acts as a sparring partner and advisor.

Education and Experience

  • AA training
  • Employed with the general accounting practice of Mazars since 1999 Before that, employed with two accountancy firms in various positions in the audit and advice practice

Executive Board Mazars in the Netherlands

As a member of the Executive Board, my primary goal is to make the AOS practice more sustainable in the broadest sense of the word, in line with the (strategy of the) Mazars organization. All this of course with leading quality from a more diverse group of employees.

General client experience

For years I have acted as a trusted business advisor for a diverse portfolio of clients, applying my knowledge and experience to assist them in the challenges that modern business entails.

Specific client experience

As a member of the Mazars Next steering group, I am closely involved in further automating and integrating the administrative processes at our customers. In addition, I focus on the family business and high-net-worth individuals.

Secondary activities

In anticipation of my appointment as member of the Executive Board, I have retired from my additional positions. In the (recent) past I have been active as a board member at the BC Excelsior, Stichting Sterven op Eigen Manner, Stichting Goudse Kaas and the Rotary.
