Efraim Brouwer Senior Tax Advisor

Efraim Brouwer

Personal quote / vision

In my role, I try to approach tax issues by not only looking at current law, but also considering the (historical) context and underlying purpose of the law. By approaching the issue from a helicopter view, new insights or good alternatives often come to light. This is in the client's interest, and also leads to a correct and effective approach to the parties the client is dealing with.

Specialist experience

I specialize in the tax aspects of real estate. Furthermore, I support clients in Box 1 - Box 3 discussions, help distinguish between business, investment and other activities. I use my experience with limited partnership structures, family funds, SPF and certification structures for asset protection and inheritance planning. I advise on tax residence and assist (r)emigrations, complying with international tax rules. I supervise business successions and restructurings, and assist clients in formal tax law and during tax objection and appeal procedures, aimed at fair taxation.

Specific client experience

I advise on the tax implications of real estate transactions and project developments. I guide business successions, ensuring a smooth transfer and tax compliance. My expertise in setting up anonymization structures helps protect privacy and assets. I also conduct tax objection litigation and tax court appeals. I also focus on setting up, guiding and maintaining the tax and legal asset structure for wealthy families. Finally, I supervise (r)emigrations from and to foreign countries.
