In many cases our approach is primarily IT-driven. This means making use of the guarantees offered by the IT systems within an organisation. However, the use of digital tools in areas such as process mining, data analysis, reading out certain system settings and setting up authorisations with the associated general computer measures (IT General Controls) are also part of our IT-driven audit approach.

Carrying out this work requires specialist knowledge and experience of IT systems and the processes concerning these IT systems. Mazars' IT Audit & Advisory department employs specialised and qualified IT auditors (Register EDP auditor). These auditors are registered in the register of IT auditors of NOREA, the professional organisation of IT auditors in the Netherlands.
